What is Voyeurism?
Voyeurism
is a practice in which an individual
derives sexual pleasure from
observing other people. Such people
may be engaged in sexual acts, or be
nude or in underwear, or dressed in
whatever other way the "voyeur"
finds appealing. Psychological
studies indicate that the is male
generally the one who is classified
as a voyeur. One may also find that
fantasizing about watching someone
offers sexual stimulation.

A
certain amount of voyeurism is
considered normal. This is why there
are R-rated and X-rated movies. You
may enjoy these, as well as graphic
magazines. You may have even been
sexually aroused when you noticed by
accident someone who was undressing,
naked, or having sex. However,
unless you seek out these
experiences, you are not a true
voyeur.
Most
true voyeurs do not wish to harm
anyone, they are only watching to
get sexual satisfaction. Generally a
voyeur is very secretive and the
last thing they want to do is to get
caught. A "Peeping Tom" is a good
example of this behavior.
As with
all sexual tendencies one should not
to become obsessed by their
fantasies and to enjoy in moderation
as obsessive behaviors may be caused
by certain psychological problems
and treatment could be needed.
