It can be your eyes, hairs, your smile, your attitude or sense of humor. 5. Be genuinely interested in the person and listen to what they are saying and ask questions and respond appropriately. Body language and positive gestures of approval let the other one know that you are genuinely interested and that they have your undivided attention

6. Be a bit mysterious and intriguing by keeping things that are supposed to be secretive a secret. Show gentleness and firmness, innocence and experience. After all you want the other person to want to get to know you better so a bit of mystery will serve you well.

7. Become skilled at giving compliments. When complimenting someone be sure to keep it real. Do not come across as fake or phony. Something about this person attracts you to them tell them but do not over do it. Just straight forward simple compliments will do the trick every time.

8. Make eye contact during the conversation and hold it for a few moments. Eye contact with a slight grin or subtle wink will let them know that you are interested.

9. Make initial contact by touching appropriately before conversation ends. Things like a gently hand shake with a pause before letting the hand go, or a gently touch on the shoulder.

10. End the meeting leaving them wanting more. Either by actions or words create an energy that makes them look forward to the next time you’ll meet or talk.

The Follow-up

Nothing makes a person feel more special than letting them know that you have had them on your mind. Send them a quick email, note, message, card, etc in a few days of initial contact to let them know that you enjoyed your conversation with them and have had them on your mind.
